We can advise you in German and English. For other languages, please be sure to bring someone who can interpret for you. We cannot ensure a safe examination without clear communication.

Please bring these documents to your appointment.

  • Health insurance card (Versichertenkarte), for every quarterly visit
  • Medical referral (Überweisung), if you have one
  • Current medication plan (Medikamentenplan)
  • Any previous findings or doctor's letters
  • Your current glasses
  • A companion, for examinations with dilating drops

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an appointment?
For most examinations, an appointment is recommended. For acute symptoms, we offer a walk-in clinic (Tue and Wed 8 to 10 a.m., Thu 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.).
How do I book an appointment?
The easiest way is via Doctolib (online, 24/7) or by phone on 0781 - 36446.
Is there parking?
The doctor's office does not have its own parking. Paid on-street parking with parking meters is available nearby (subject to availability), along with public car parks in central Offenburg.
Can I drive after pupil dilation?
No. After dilating drops, your vision will be impaired for several hours. Please come by public transport or arrange for someone to drive you.
Are preventive examinations covered by health insurance?
Glaucoma screening and the OCT scan are self-pay individual health services (individuelle Gesundheitsleistungen / IGeL), generally not covered by statutory health insurance. Private insurers often reimburse them.
